MITEM Releases Blue Iris eLaborate 8.7
New features include Patient Orders redesigned to scheduling and placing the order, Future Orders enhanced, Multi-Lab Ordering, Send a Batch of Orders with one click, and Add a New Physician “on the fly”.
MENLO PARK, CA April 15, 2011 - MITEM Corporation, a provider of clinical applications for healthcare and integration software solutions, today announced the release of Blue Iris eLaborate 8.7. Blue Iris eLaborate provides a flexible, easy-to-use, web-based order entry application that can connect to virtually any hospital information system, laboratory information system, and electronic medical record system.
Version 8.7 introduces a new user interface design of Patient Orders. This design recognizes the ordering of lab procedures as a series of events and accommodates this process easily and efficiently with the new Schedule/Order process. When a physician orders tests on a patient, these tests are scheduled and saved in eLaborate, or the order is sent to the lab at the same time as the draw. Phlebotomists can access patient orders remotely from any PC with web access, preview and print a worksheet, and place a batch of orders with just one click.
Multi-lab ordering is designed with ease of use in mind. When tests for a patient require multiple labs, Blue Iris eLaborate simplifies the process providing lab routing preferences and split requisitions.
Recurring (Future) orders has been designed within the patient Schedule/Order process offering efficiency, simplicity, along with multiple scheduling options.
In addition, the updated user interface adds key features and enhancements to improve the usability of the product.
The Blue Iris family of products provides real time, bi-directional integration between Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and physician offices in hospital outreach programs.
